In the case of gang-rape of a Bangladeshi woman in Bangalore, India, the country’s soccer has sentenced 7 Bangladeshis to life imprisonment. The verdict was handed down in the case on Friday (May 20). Earlier, on May 26 last year, the 22-year-old Bangladeshi woman was raped.

This information has been revealed in a report of Times of India. A Bangalore court on Friday sentenced Chand Mia, Mohammad Rifaqdul Islam, Mohammad Alamin Hossain, Rakibul Islam, Mohammad Babu Sheikh, Mohammad Dalim and Azim Hossain to life in prison in a rape case.

In addition, Tania Khan was sentenced to 20 years and Mohammad Jamal to five years in prison. The court sentenced the other two women accused to 9 months imprisonment. The accused, including the victim, were all Bangladeshi nationals who had entered India and were living illegally in Bangalore.

One of the accused in the case was an Indian, but the court acquitted him. The chargesheet was filed within 28 days of the crime and the trial was completed within 3 months.
