For the first time in the history of civil aviation in Saudi Arabia, flights with all female crew have been operated.
Biman officials say the move is a milestone in women’s empowerment in conservative countries such as Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi airline Flydil said in an announcement on micro-blogging site Twitter that they operated the flight last Thursday.
Most of the flight crew are Saudi nationals.
The journey of this aircraft started with A320 aircraft.
Flight 117 flew from Riyadh to Jeddah.

There were seven crew members on Flight 117. The co-pilot was Yara Jan (23). She is the youngest female pilot in Saudi Arabia. He graduated from a flight school in Florida, USA in 2019. Joined Floyd a year ago.

Flydell spokesman Emad Iskandarani said the flight left the capital, Riyadh, for Jeddah on Thursday. Most of the seven-member crew, including the first officer, were Saudi women. However, the captain of the flight was a foreigner.

Meanwhile, the country’s civil aviation authority has confirmed that all women crew will operate flights to Floyd. Earlier in 2019, the country announced that it would operate its first flight with a female Saudi co-pilot.
