It is learned that before the commencement of the first working day of the week, the market capitalization on the DSE was 5 lakh 36 thousand 981 crore 08 lakh 85 thousand 6 taka. At the end of the last working day of the week, the market capitalization stood at 5 lakh 31 thousand 012 crore 99 lakh 51 thousand rupees. In other words, the investors have decreased by five thousand 946 crore 09 lakh 14 thousand 8 taka in the interval of week.

During the outgoing week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) had a turnover of Tk 5,397.93 crore. And in the previous week the transaction was four thousand 56 crore 91 lakh 26 thousand 923 taka. In other words, the turnover on the DSE has increased by 1,340 crore 01 lakh 72 thousand 106 taka or 33 percent during the week.

During the week, the DSE’s main index, the DSEX, fell 90.20 points, or 1.38 percent, to 6,585.46 points. Among other indices, the Shariah index fell 14.18 points or 1.02 percent and the DSE-30 index fell 53.75 points or 2.19 percent to 1,432.18 points and 2,406.92 points, respectively.

In the outgoing week, a total of 365 companies participated in the share and unit transactions on the DSE. Among the companies, the share price increased by 123 or 31.95 percent, decreased by 228 or 56.96 percent and the share and unit price of 35 or 9.09 percent remained unchanged.

On the other stock market Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) in the outgoing week, the amount of money was 17 crore 98 lakh 6 thousand 579 taka. And in the previous week the transaction was 131 crore 14 lakh 79 thousand 265 taka. In other words, the turnover in CSE has increased by 35 crore 82 lakh 96 thousand 324 taka or 26 percent during the week.

During the week, the overall index of CSE, CASPI, decreased by 241.18 points or 1.23 percent to 19,246.61 points. Other CSE indices include CSCX 143.62 points or 1.22 percent, CSE-30 index 211.18 points or 1.50 percent, CSE-50 index 24.64 points or 1.60 percent and CSI 6.18 points or 0. .7 percent decreased to 11 thousand 550.24 points, 13 thousand 72.6 points, one thousand 422.41 points and one thousand 213.62 points, respectively.

Shares and units of 353 companies traded on the CSE during the week. Of the companies, 148 or 41.93 per cent rose, 163 or 51.84 per cent declined and 22 or 8.23 per cent remained unchanged.
