According to the police, Mausumi’s father’s house is in Buzrukbaria area. He was staying there. Mausumi took gas tablets on Tuesday morning. Later, when he fell ill, his relatives were preparing to take him to the hospital. But in the meantime he died.
Mahmudul Hasan, inspector in charge of Naruli outpost, thinks that he committed suicide by poisoning during marital quarrel. Police and locals said Ibrahim Hossain of Brakpara in Dupchanchia upazila married her several years ago. They have a 5 year old daughter. When Ibrahim went to Oman 3-4 years ago, Mausumi moved to his father’s house with his daughter.
He was found unconscious in his home on Tuesday morning. His brother rescued him and took him to Shajimek Hospital in Bogra. There the doctor pronounced him dead. Upon receiving the news, the police of Naruli outpost recovered the body from there and sent it to the hospital morgue.
SI Shahidul Islam said members of his father’s house could not comment on the death of Mausumi, the wife of an Oman expatriate. They just said their daughter had taken poison gas tablets. According to Inspector Mahmudul Hasan, she may have committed suicide by arguing with her expatriate husband. An autopsy report will reveal how he died.
