He made the remarks at a press conference at the Secretariat after a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The cabinet secretary said he hoped the Padma bridge would be ready for launch by the last week of June. However, there was no discussion on naming the Padma Bridge in today’s cabinet meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Earlier on Tuesday, the government fixed the toll rate for the movement of vehicles on the Padma Bridge. The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has issued a notification fixing the maximum and minimum toll rates for vehicles.
