Several cities in the Middle Eastern country of Oman are burning in the intense heat. This year’s highest temperature mercury is rising above 46 degrees Celsius. According to the meteorological office, the temperature is 40 degrees Celsius and it is considered as an intense heat. The southern province of Al Batinah recorded the highest temperature of 48 degrees Celsius on Sunday (May 22).
The people are overwhelmed. There is no comfort in the house or outside because of the heat. People are becoming restless as a result of intense heat. And when you go out on the street because of the sun, you feel the heat of the fire. Even then the construction workers are working hard.
The Oman Meteorological Department said on Monday that the country had recorded a maximum temperature of 48 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. The temperature may rise further, the department said. Therefore, at the moment, the Batina municipality has specially urged the citizens and expatriates not to work in the open for a long time.
