Getting fuel oil is like a golden deer to the people.
In the meantime, the parliamentary session has recently started in the island state.
But the Lankan MPs (MPs) are having trouble attending the session as it has become difficult to collect car fuel.
In this situation, several Sri Lankan MPs have requested to make arrangements for hotel accommodation instead of home during the session.
On Thursday, the Speaker of the Lankan Parliament, Mahinda Yapa Abevardhane, said some MPs had requested for accommodation at a hotel this week if fuel could not be provided to attend the session.
He warned that bankrupt Sri Lanka could face more difficulties in the coming days.
