On Monday, the first working day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) index ended trading in a big fall. On this day, the share price of most of the companies has decreased along with the index. However, the amount of money transactions have increased, according to DSE sources.
The DSE Shariah Index is down 21 points at 1,410 points and the DSE-30 Index is down 40 points at 2,365 points.
Of the 361 companies and mutual funds traded during the day, 26 rose, 347 declined and six remained unchanged.
One thousand 22 crore 8 lakh taka has been transacted in DSE. Which is 199 crore 40 lakh more than the previous working day. The previous working day transaction was 723 crore 36 lakh taka.
On the other hand, the overall index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI has decreased by 362 points to 16,006 points.
Of the 308 companies that changed hands on the CSE, 33 gained, 28 lost and 8 remained unchanged. Shares and units worth Tk 43.28 crore were traded on the CSE.
