The notification was issued on Sunday night (May 22) to extend the registration period.
The last date for registration of pilgrims under public-private management was Sunday.

An extended schedule has been announced as per the Hajj package announced by the government to meet the zero quota.
Extended deadline for payment of registration starts 23rd May, last date for extension of payment for registration is 24th May (till banking time).
During the extended period, the pilgrims will come under the pre-registration sequence from 25 thousand 925 to the latest sequence 26 thousand 105.
People who register on time will only get the opportunity to register under Government Management Package-2.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as of Sunday, 51,851 pilgrims had registered for Hajj under private management and 2,849 under government management.
