The sanctions include US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman.
Western nations have imposed a series of sanctions since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
They are warning of a collapse in the country’s economy.
Declaring the sanctions illegal, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the sanctions amounted to a declaration of war against Russia.
The list, released by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday (May 21st), includes US government officials, lawmakers and other leading figures.
The move is seen as a retaliation for similar sanctions imposed by Washington.
