Bagerhat Correspondent: Police have arrested a village policeman named Mostafa Sheikh in a case of rape of a housewife at Fakirhat in Bagerhat. Earlier in the day, the housewife filed a case in the name of village police. Confirming the information, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fakirhat Model Police Station Muhammad Alimuzzaman said that the process of taking him to court is underway after interrogation.

Mostafa Sheikh, 40, of Fakirhat Upazila, has been working as a village police in the area. His house is in Ghanshyampur village. According to the statement, the housewife went out to find the lost goat in Ghanshyampur village around 10 pm on Monday. Mostafa fled when the locals came forward shouting at the woman.
