Abdullah Al Mamun, Satkhira District Representative: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) snatched weapons have been recovered from Bhomra border in Satkhira. On Tuesday, May 18, locals arrested a young man named Rana with a weapon from Dhalipara of Alipore Union on the border.

When the BGB was informed later, they arrested him and took him away.

The detainee was identified as Rana, son of late Ashraful Islam of Narayanjol village in Sadar upazila. Day laborer by profession.
After being arrested by the locals, Rana said that Azharul Islam, a resident of Patkelghata area (now living in Bhomra area), Imran and Zulfiqar gave me the weapon this morning. The weapon was supposed to be delivered to a fishpond in the Lakeview area of the city. In return they gave me one thousand rupees. I did not know that the weapon was snatched from the BSF.

After recovering the weapon, Satkhira 33 BGB commander Lieutenant Colonel Al Mahmood was contacted more than once but he did not receive a call.

However, after the weapon was snatched on May 10, he said, they claimed that a BSF weapon had been lost. Currently BSF is conducting operation at their border. We have been asked to carry out the operation here. We are searching the weapon in our border area.
