A notification in this regard has been issued by the ministry on Monday.
It said that according to the policy of the Royal Saudi Government, the validity of the passports of the pilgrims of 2022 should be till January 4, 2023 next year. Otherwise you have to collect a new passport.
It is necessary to ensure that the national identity card of the pilgrim (birth registration certificate if applicable) is properly mentioned in the passport.
To this end, the passports of the pilgrims registered in 2020 under the management of both public and private sectors have expired or their passports have been changed, the notification said.
